MICROBUBBLE FLOTATION
In new generation DAF units, the Nikuni KTM pump, which creates micro air bubbles,
is used and air bubbles of 20÷30 µm are formed (200 – 300 µm in traditional DAF units).
This DAF method creates very small air bubbles in the water and this
bubbles provide the transition from liquid to solid with their buoyant effect, but solid
on the surface of substances, small solid metals, insoluble elements
allows it to be collected.
The DAF-NIKUNI pump is located at the center of the flotation unit.
